Extensions expand your ad with additional information—giving people more reasons to choose your business. They typically increase an ad's click-through-rate by several percentage points. Extension formats include call buttons, location information, links to specific parts of your website, additional text, and more.

Acquire leverages a dealership's Google My Business page (Google Place API) upon opening and onboarding a new account. Starting June 28th, 2021 - Google will automatically match between your GMB page and your ads account. If you don't have a GMB connected to your dealership, Google will match to known locations. Read more about this here.
In this way, we can quickly populate Dealership location information and then use that data to populate fields like address and phone number which can then be used in extensions to make the search Ads immediately actionable and richer in terms of information provided.

Setting up Ad Extensions
Google Ad Extensions will automatically be added to the Google ads which Acquire creates for your dealer account as long as the Google Place ID we have on file for your dealership is correct and matched. This is part of onboarding your account and if there are any issues matching your GPID, your CSM will reach out and help to resolve.
With location extensions, you can increase foot traffic to your dealership by displaying your address, the distance from the Google user to your address, or mapped directions to your dealer location.
Callout extensions let you include additional text so you can show more detailed information about your dealership and services.
Call extensions let you add phone numbers to your ads, which can significantly increase click through rates. When your call extensions show, people can tap or click a button to call your dealership directly. The number that is added to Acquire Ads using this extension is the Dealership number listed in the Dealership settings page of your Dashboard (taken from the Dealership's Google My Business page).
Sitelink extensions take shoppers to specific pages on your dealer site (for example, a specific VDP). When someone clicks or taps on your links, they go directly to what they want to know or buy.
Structured Snippet Extensions
Structured snippet extensions highlight specific aspects of your inventory and services. Structured snippets show beneath your text ad in the form of a header (ex: "Destinations") and list of values (ex: "Dallas, Glendale, or Michigan").
Price extensions can add more value to your Search Network text ads by giving you a bigger showcase for your dealership and vehicles, and by linking people directly to what interests them on your dealer site. This extension will appear on ads for NEW and USED inventory ads and some BRANDING bundles as well (this includes, depending on the search terms lease offers).
