What does it mean to raise or lower the frequency level?
Connect watches the actions of each user on a website, and assigns them a score. This score continually changes, as the person clicks around the website. Certain actions, like visiting VDPs, raises their score, signifying that they are higher-funnel, and would react well to a notification. Connect then decides which notification to show the person, based on their actions, as well as what type of notification to show them, based on their score.
When a dealership raises the frequency level, it changes the "score" at which Connect will show a notification. So, a dealership with frequency set at 7 will show notifications to more people- even people with lower scores. If the frequency level is low, even people with medium-level scores will not receive a notification.
According to data across hundreds of thousands of users, the ideal frequency level is between 5-7. Anything lower than that negatively affects the conversion rate on the site, as Connect misses opportunities at converting lower-funnel shoppers.
