Targeting will directly impact Acquire’s ability to reach the right people. If the targeting is too wide, irrelevant customers will be shown ads, wasting clicks and impressions on people who will not come to the dealership.
You can set targeting by zip code, miles radius from your dealership, or a combination of the two.
By Radius - Dealerships can choose to target customers based on their proximity to the store. Selecting too large of a radius can result in wasted ad spend on irrelevant customers who will not actually come to the dealership and buy a car. The default radius is set to 25 miles (industry standard). To change the radius, you can slide the bar until they reach the desired distance.
By Zip Code - Dealerships can also choose to target customers within specific zip code(s). Users can input as many zip codes as they would like (or paste a list of several, separated by commas, spaces, or semicolons), and Acquire will target users within those locations. Due to restrictions in Facebook, targeting by zip code in Acquire Social is limited to 25 miles.
Targeting by objective:
You can set an exception by targeting a combination of one or more objectives or channels. To set an exception, you can select the objective or channel from the drop drop-down list as shown in the screenshot below and set the zip code and/or radios.
