Based on data on millions of users, Connect decides which, and how many, notifications to show to car shoppers as they browse your website. In fact, data has shown that it takes an average of 2.7 notifications before someone converts. This, in turn, causes Connect to serve relevant notifications whenever it can, to drive shoppers further down the funnel, ending in a conversion.
Some dealers, though, wish to be more sensitive to their shoppers’ experience and prevent Connect from continually serving notifications after the user has made indications that they want them to stop.
Now, you can enable a setting in your Connect dashboard that will disable Connect notifications for visitors who have previously dismissed a notification earlier in their session.
This means that once someone actively dismisses a notification, they will not see any more notifications during that session. This will include the Exit Intent Pop-Up.
This setting does not affect the frequency level set for your dealership– if someone never dismisses a notification, or until they dismiss one, the frequency will continue to function according to what is defined in the dashboard.
